Teen Volunteers

 Library Volunteens!

The library can be a great place to gain job skills, fulfill volunteer hours needed for class credit, and meet new people. Volunteen positions are for teens ages 12-17 and in 7th grade or above.

Speak to the Youth Services Librarian at the branch at which you would like to volunteer. This can be done in person or on the phone and serves as an informal interview prior to placement. The librarian can then get an idea of your interests and skills and be able to match tasks to your abilities.

A completed Volunteen Application, signed by both you and your parent or guardian, is also required. Placements are limited. You can improve your chances of getting a position by planning ahead and applying well in advance of when you want to volunteer.
