Share the magic of books with a child in need. Anoka County Library is accepting donations of books for children and teens as part of its annual Project Bookshelf during the month of November.
“Reading opens a world of possibilities to young people,” says Library Board President, Dan Greensweig. “The gift of a book can inspire a child for a lifetime.”
To participate, simply bring new, unwrapped books for children and teens to any Anoka County Library location or Columbia Heights Public Library during the month of November. Books will be distributed through Anoka County food shelves including ACBD, CEAP, Centennial Community Food Shelf, and SACA.
“It’s amazing how the sight of a favorite childhood book can bring back memories,” said Anoka County Commissioner Robyn West. “This is an opportunity to share your favorite with a young reader!”
